ESG & SUSTAINABILITY BRIEFING SESSION

KEY(Korea Europe & You) is pleased to share that we successfully organized our final event of 2024 - “ESG & Sustainability Briefing Session" with Dr. Youngtae Kim, Secretary General of the International Transport Forum (ITF) at the OECD.

On December 11, after an introduction by Mr. Philippe Li, President of KEY, Dr. Kim delivered invaluable insights into ITF’s role in sustainable transport, emphasizing global decarbonization efforts across 69 member countries on 5 continents. His presentation also featured an in-depth exploration of ITF’s Modelling Framework, offering a detailed view of how the organization drives sustainable solutions worldwide, encompassing green, safety, inclusivity, gender, and digital perspectives.

The session was followed by an interactive networking discussion among the participants. The conversation expanded to broader perspectives, highlighting the importance of adopting a comprehensive approach to address issues like aging population, biodiversity, and green partnerships. The session underscored the need for stronger cooperation among government officials and stakeholders to systematically tackle the challenges in ESG and sustainability.

As we wrap up, KEY would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the participants who made this event so meaningful, including Gerald Massenet (Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank), Jaehoon Yoo (Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation - KDIC), Raphaël Seung-Ho Lee (Deputy Economic Counselor, Embassy of France in the US), Yoon-Gih Ahn (POSCO), Junyong Hyun (LG U+Voltup), Fabrice Espinosa (Asia Sustainable Aviation Fuel Association - ASAFA / Studio 28), Jeongwoo Lee (KB Bank), Oriane Lemaire (EU-Korea Green Partnership Action), and Zachary Petit (Seoul Women's University - Business law and economics).
